Snowboard accessories and equipment: choosing the right gear
Typically, there are four essential steps to good snowboard maintenance. First of all, you need to clean the base of your board. Do this using a rag, acetone and yellow ski wax if need be. The next thing to do is “tune” your board. Use a sharpener, moving it along the edges with even movements. Run your fingernail along the edges to find out whether you’ve properly completed this step. If you don’t get a fine shaving off your nail, then, you’ll have to start again. Next up is the waxing step. The several types of wax on the market differ depending on use and outside temperatures. Take good care when choosing! After this, drip the wax onto a preheated waxing iron and apply it to the base of your board.
