Delivery, returns and VAT for United Kingdom

Delivery

Due to the ongoing Covid pandemic, Colissimo home deliveries and Colissimo pick-up point deliveries are suspended for skis and snowboards. DPD is suspending until further notice all shipments to United Kingdom (England, Wales, Scotland, Northern Ireland), Ireland, Guernsey, Isle of Man and Jersey.

The dispatch time for skis and snowboards with binding mounting is being extended from 24 to 72 hours.

Returns

Since the 1st of January 2021, return postage is at the customer's expense.
You will be able to request a return from a Royal Mail office, using a customs document on which you will tick RETURN (DHL and UPS returns are not allowed).
You will then be able to apply to the relevant UK authorities to recover the VAT on your return.

The refund will be credited to your bank or PayPal account within 14 days of its arrival at Snowleader.

Returns requests must be made within 30 days after receiving your order. The return must be posted within 14 days after you received the return documents. If you wish to return an item, we can refund you: we’ll refund you via Paypal or bank transfer. We can also give you Snowleader store credit, which is redeemable on all Snowleader.com items for 1 year. Please note that the original shipping costs (when the order was first sent to the customer) are only refunded if the entire order is returned. 

CONDITIONS TO GET REFUNDED?

To give you time to make sure you are happy with your purchase, Snowleader is extending the product return period for general customers from 14 to 30 days. For Snowleader Mountain Club members, the 100-day return period remains unchanged. For all the return conditions please see our Terms and conditions

*The products must be new and unused, in the original packaging with original labels attached

*For Safety and Health reasons, we do not accept returns of the following; mounted skis and snowboards / cut climbing skins / thermoformed boots /perishable goods / suncream / cleaning products and underwear.
 
*If you are returning a package it must be returned in its entirety.  
 
In addition, regarding personal safety equipment (helmets, climbing harnesses, carabiners, etc.), our team pays particular attention to the conditions of the returned products. The product must not have been worn, and the labels, protective films and packaging must not have been removed, otherwise the return may not be accepted.

PRODUCT EXCHANGE?

Snowleader does not offer exchanges. However, you can return your item within 30 days and receive a full refund, as long as it meets the requirements stated above. 


So the fastest way to get a 
different size product, for example, is to place a new order for the correct size. And at the same time return the item that you were not happy with and receive a full refund.  

If you'd like:

  • A refund : if your item(s) are sent back unused and in its original packaging, your refund will be processed in 14 days after the delivery. You will be refunded directly on the method of payment you used during your shopping.
  • A voucher : The Snowleader voucher will be available for a year on Snowleader.co.uk and you will be notified by email as soon as it is available.

VAT and delivery

For orders being delivered to the United Kingdom, please place the order at www.snowleader.co.uk . We will apply British VAT (20%) to all the items on orders under £135 excl. VAT.

All orders on this website are dispatched from France and are therefore eligible for customs clearance fees and customs charges.

If you wish to have your order delivered to France, please order at www.snowleader.com

At snowleader.co.uk, all prices shown include VAT (your shopping basket will update to suit the new VAT rules).
We remind you that you still have to pay VAT (20%) on all orders, however, the way you do this has now changed.

VAT is calculated on products only. Shipping costs are not included in this calculation.
The UK Government has set a threshold of £135 excluding VAT to outline the procedures of how the VAT will be paid:

  • Below £135 excluding VAT - VAT is payable directly on our site on the total amount of your order.
  • Above £135 excluding VAT - VAT is payable directly to the carrier when you receive your parcel.

Please note: different carriers have different charges, here are the details of the charges to be paid to your delivery driver (unless otherwise stated, all prices below exclude VAT):
