Introducing kids to skiing
Kids can be introduced to skiing at a relatively early age, but before the age of 3 it should be a game played with mum or dad, with one or two runs to avoid tiring them out too much. In this case, you can choose a cheaper pair of kids' skis.
Choose kids' skis just like adults' skis
As kids gets older, it becomes important to buy skis adapted to their size and weight. These skis are often versatile and can be used for both downhill and freestyle skiing. Kids' skis are suitable for freeriding, but it is better to teach kids to stay on the marked pistes. Junior skis need to be replaced regularly
You will need to replace the kids' skis you buy regularly as your child grows, as it is important that the skis are suited to their height and ability level. Prices are therefore lower than adult skis to reflect the need for frequent changes. As children are curious and want to try out everything, choosing versatile skis will give them the opportunity to have fun on the ski slopes and in powder fields. They will also be able to learn freestyle!
