The Proguide 89 Skin are pre-cut touring skins from Scott.
It has heat-welded fibre technology which makes the skin waterproof. This prevents snow build-up, the skin dries faster and has a better grip over time.
The gluing of the skin, by thermofusion, reduces the loss of material and increases the longevity as well as the support of the skin on the sole of the ski.
The Scott attachment system and the rear tensioner guarantee good adhesion to the ski sole, even after a very long outing and when the grip is less effective.
These high quality skins are compact and light and their mohair mix composition gives them an excellent balance between grip and glide!
Composition: -Â 65% Mohair- 35% Nylon
Mohair, made from mountain goat fleece, offers skins with good slippery properties. Nylon has better grip, is more water repellent and more resistant. The medium mohair/nylon mix combines the advantages of both materials in a perfectly balanced way. In this way, the best climbing and sliding abilities are obtained, regardless of the type of terrain.
Heat-welded fibre technologies: A newly developed waterproof support material that prevents snow accumulation. It also offers great stability and a shape that is easier to handle.
Ingenious binding by thermofusion: The new adhesive reduces material loss and peels off less while ensuring effortless handling.
