





Avalanche transceiver -
The Pro IPS from Pieps is an avalanchetransceiverdesigned for use in risky mountain terrain: off-piste, freeriding, mountaineering and ski touring.
General:
This device has a maximum Scope of 70 metres (Search band width : 80 m). However, in the event of interfering signals, it will display a reduced bandwidth: 20, 40, 60 metres. This avalanche transceiver features a unique technology, theInterference Protection Systemtechnology, which adapts the signal to surrounding sources of interference (metal box, telephone, Shovel...). This technology makes the DVA extremely efficient, even if it does not completely eliminate interference. The Pro IPS assists you in the rescue: it shows you the distance, the direction to follow and the number of people buried. Sound search guidance makes it easier to locate buried people. When the device automatically switches to SEND mode or detects the initial signal in a search situation, a vibration alerts the rescuer, who can concentrate fully on the search. Its operating time in SEND mode is 800 hours with lithium batteries and 600 hours with alkaline batteries. The Pro IPS comes with a sturdy, ergonomic pouch. It can be managed using the Application Pieps.
Advanced features:
In the event of interference, the device automatically uses the antenna with the strongest signal. The Ghost Signal Elimination eliminates all false signals, automatically checking that the signals detected have indeed been emitted by avalanche transceivers. The Powder BT also has an Analog mode that you can use for advanced search strategies or for demonstration purposes. Pro IPS indicates deep burials from 2 metres upwards.
Multi-victim mode:
In the event of a multi-victimburial, Pro IPS suggests that you mark the victims separately . This avoids conflicting signals and improves efficiency. The Auto-Select function prevents you from straying by automatically directing you towards the strongest signal. With the victim marking function, the DVA indicates the distance and direction of each victim.
Lifeguard safety:
Pro IPS also has a group check mode, so you can check that the avalanche transceivers of the people with you are working properly, using the device's instructions as a guide. The Bluetooth mode available on the device can be used to check that it is working properly or in training situations. What's more, if no movement on your part is detected for a certain period of time, Pro IPS assumes that there is an avalanche and automatically switches to SENDmode.
