This Airbag Alpride system uses supercapacitor technology to trigger the airbag quickly and reliably. It only requires two AA batteries to power up, and can be easily removed when not in use to save weight and space in your bag. With a battery life of 3 months, it also has an LCD display showing the charge level of the supercapacitors and the energy level of the batteries. The avalanche release pockets are located on both shoulder straps.
