An excellent thermal insulator, it ideally regulates body temperature both in winter and summer. It can absorb one third of its weight in the form of water vapour, and its heat release prevents the sensation of cold; even when wet, the garment remains warm... Wool fibres are naturally resistant to mechanical wear, soil little, and are antibacterial, considerably reducing unpleasant odours as well as the need for washing. Like all natural fibres, merino wool is biodegradable. |
