Xenic 10

The Xenic 10 is a ski touring binding from Fritschi !

The Swiss brand offers here a ski touring binding that is accessible and performs well both uphill and downhill! The big plus of this binding is its weight: only 280g /unit (without ski stop)! A great performance, comfort and above all safety, partly due to the new carbon fibre reinforced plastics!

So how does the Xenic 10 work? It's very simple! The Xenic 10 is a binding that meets the standards of insert bindings, with a side and front release at the rear. Another feature that will make many happy is the presence of a stop and an extra-wide pedal that will allow you to put on the bindings very easily! The jaws that open and close laterally make the bindings easier to put on and take off, offering greater resistance to vertical forces due to the unexpected opening of the inserts. Added to this is a knife holder, which is compatible with Dynafit knives!

Then, the heel piece is wide in order to have a better transmission of the power while keeping a good stability. For even more safety, Diamir has thought of separating the side and front release functions to keep the rigid side of the binding while offering a lower weight! To change from ascent to descent mode, nothing could be simpler, the heel piece swivels 180° in both directions and has an ascent wedge (2° and 11°) to facilitate your ascent!

Finally, to ensure your safety, the Xenic 10 has a special feature that releases the shoe from the binding at an angle of between 65° and 75°after the heel release. 

In short, the Xenic 10 is a combination of technology, lightness and robustness for ski touring aficionados!
