Freestyle Skis - Men - Studio 1 2024 - Faction - 2023/2024
The
The Studio range is specially designed for freestyle. It includes 4 models ranging from 83 to 90 mm wide. Although Studio skis come in a wide range, they all share a common construction, with a poplar core combined with carbon fibre for lightness and vibration absorption. The Studio range also features heavy rockers, complemented by solid, stiffer tips and tails and fairly high flex. The result is a ski that will give you excellent landings, real precision and perfect control.

A symmetrical twin-tip shape, subtle rocker in the tip and tail and pronounced camber give riders optimum precision and edge hold.
The heavy rocker is best complemented by solid, stiffer tips and tail to help stabilise the skis and cope with variable snow conditions. What's more, rigid tips absorb more vibration when skiers land after taking off. Just add a little more flex underfoot and it allows the skis to load and pop on demand.
Construction:
Poplar core
Poplar is a soft, light-coloured, medium-weight, durable wood that flexes and springs well, while having a great capacity to absorb vibrations. With it being the only wood used in this core, it allows the ski to jump with sufficient torsional stability for impressive downhill grip.
XL 2.5 mm Edges
7 fractions of a millimetre may not sound like much, but when it comes to edges, it all adds up. The 2.5mm edges stack 35% more height onto the already super-durable standard 1.8mm edges. This extra steel gives the rider a pair of skis that will resist wear and tear and last longer.
Carbon/rubber stomp pad
With a 600mm long and a 15mm wide carbon/rubber reinforcement at your feet above the edge, you'll have added resistance where it counts As well as protecting the wood core from rough impacts on the rails, the carbon and rubber inlay adds stability and vibration absorption under your boots, so that landings feel better, both for you and your skis.
Carbon fibre across the whole surface
Between 8 and 12 strips of carbon, sandwiched on either side of the ski's wooden core, are laid down in a unidirectional manner, providing additional stability to the ski without adding weight to the construction. Each carbon strip is woven into the fibreglass to provide strength and rigidity along the entire length of the ski.
The full strength sidewall is a construction that applies layers of protective material along the edges of the sidewall, between the edge and the topsheet from above. The edges offer the best possible stability and grip when turning, while protecting the wooden core, edges and cover sheet from possible external impacts and damage.
Locally sourced materials
In order to reduce the impact of the supply chain, Faction strives to source from European companies based close to the factories.
