Snowboard freeride - Unisex -
When fresh snow covers the mountain, the Storm Chaser from Jones reveals its full potential. Designed in collaboration with surf shaper Chris Christenson, this ultra-wide freeride board draws inspiration from " fish " silhouettes to deliver a surf-like riding sensation, with remarkable agility despite its significant volume.
Its compact shape and swallowtail allow for precise turns and surfing powder fields, even on gentle slopes. The directional shape with offset volume concentrates more surface area towards the nose to increase floatation, while enabling a shorter length choice without sacrificing stability or buoyancy.
The Christenson Surf Rocker, developed specifically for Jones, facilitates the nose lifting as soon as weight is transferred to the endpiece, providing an exceptional lightness sensation in deep snow. The pronounced taper emphasises the board’s surf character: the wide nose slices through powder while the narrow swallowtail naturally sinks to promote quick direction changes. The Low Traction Tech maintains effective edge hold on firmer sections, while the 3D Contour Base High smooths transitions.
Its Master Core, biaxial fiberglass and ampliTex™ Carbon/Linen reinforcements ensure a balance of responsiveness, forgiveness and durability. With its fast and durable 8000 sintered base, the Storm Chaser is the perfect weapon to turn the biggest powder days into a true surf session.

Flex: Balanced - 3/5
| VOLUME-SHIFTED DIRECTIONAL | A directional shape with volume-shifted dimensions, offering a wider and shorter profile that moves more surface area towards the nose for incredible float in powder, while maintaining an agile and easy-to-manoeuvre board. Riders can choose a significantly smaller board size thanks to this volume-shifted concept, without compromising float or stability. |
| CHRISTENSON SURF ROCKER | A customised surf-inspired rocker profile, extending from nose to endpiece/hinge mount, designed by surf shaper Chris Christenson. When you transfer your weight to the tail of the board, the nose lifts out of the snow, providing unmatched float on deep powder days. |
| HIGH 3D CONTOUR BASE | 3D Contour Base oriented towards freeride, featuring a 7 mm bevel profile at the nose and 0 to 7 mm at the tail. This bevel profile starts just before the contact points. |
| LOW TRACTION TECH | A subtle yet effective edge grip technology, characterised by three slight protrusions (at the front binding, centre of the board, and rear binding) for improved edge hold and increased control. |
| MASTER CORE | A dual-density wood core made from responsibly sourced paulownia and poplar. The 1:1 ratio between paulownia and poplar creates a lightweight, lively, and durable core. |
| PREMIUM TOPSHEET | A durable, scratch-resistant topsheet designed to withstand rigorous daily use in extreme conditions. |
| BIAX FIBERGLASS | Biaxial fiberglass laminate manufactured with a double-layer, bi-directional construction that offers a forgiving yet lively board feel with a medium-soft torsional flex and quick energy transfer. |
| SINTERED 8000 BASE | High-quality sintered base material, ultra-fast, highly wax-absorbent, easy to repair, and proven to be one of the most durable and long-lasting base materials in the industry. |
| ampliTex™ Carbone/Lin | High-performance hybrid reinforcements composed of carbon and natural flax fibre, developed in collaboration with the Swiss research office Bcomp®. |
