Ideally placed between the Storm Chaser Split and the Hovercraft Split, the Mind Expander Split skillfully blends the powder performance of one with the agility of the other. The Mind Expander Split is the ideal splitboard to go in search of powder-filled spots.
The compact size will make your ascents easier while the Christenson Surf Rocker provides you with implausible lift and playability in powder snow. The redesigned Bamboo Surf Core specially developed for Jones splitboards promises a great splitboard underfoot.
Like all Jonessplitboards, the Mind Expander Split is equipped with Inside & Outside Traction Tech 2.0technology. Having long proved their worth on downhill slopes, the corrugated edges now come to help you on cross-country climbs where edging is a crucial part of your progress.

Camber:
Christenson Surf Rocker : Nose and tail rocker designed by shaper Chris Christenson for the Mind Expander and the Storm Chaser Very long rocker that starts at the front and rear inserts.
Shape :
Directional : The nose is longer and wider than the tail and the inserts have been set back on the back of the board. These features provide more lift in powder.
Blunt Nose: the blunt nose provides the lift benefits of a longer nose without the rounded shape and extra weight.
Bolt-less Bridge : reducing the components of the link box and therefore reducing weight. In addition, the skis are more closely bonded, improving torsional rigidity.
Inside & Outside Traction Tech 2.0 : Strategically placed corrugated edges to counteract the negative effect of the rocker and increase edge grip on the snow.
Progressive Sidecut : The radius at the ends of the sidecut is slightly increased as the edge reaches the contact points. This larger radius ensures a smoother ride when entering and exiting turns.

-Forever Flex: A manufacturing process that durably stabilizes the flex and rocker profile of the board.
- Bamboo Surf Core: Triple density Bamboo wood core combined with Paulownia inserts for better edge response and more power in turns.
- Biax Fiberglass : a dual-directional fibreglass laminate for a precise and responsive board, whatever the terrain and snow conditions.
- Stainless Steel Reinforcement : Stainless steel plate inserts are on the board's nose and tail.
- Sintered 8000 base: Sole made of UHMW-PE (Ultra-High Molecular Weight Polyethylene) and carbon. Extremely easy to repair, it also offers maximum glide properties.
- Karakoram Ultra Clip 2.0 with Tip-Lock: Jones splitboards have Karakoram clips as well as hooks on the nose and tail. These tension-adjustable K-clips improve the board's torsional rigidity.
- Recycled ABS: - The ABS plastics in Jones boards are made from recycled plastic.
-Wend Natural Wax : Waxed with natural Wend wax, Jones boards are ready to use straight from the factory.
- Bio Resin: All Jones boards are now built with bio-based, renewable epoxy instead of petroleum based epoxy.
- Flip-Flop base: Base manufacturing process that reduces waste. Two base colours available that are delivered randomly.
La Mind Expander Split apporte une grosse dose de fun dans vos sorties split. Splitboard à privilégier lorsque la poudreuse est là en quantité, la Mind Expander Split est super joueuse. On peut se lâcher à fond dans la poudreuse. Tous les pillows et cassures de pentes sont sujets à rotation.
Dans la neige glacée l'accroche de la Mind Expander Split pâtit du cambre très largement orienté poudreuse. Prévoyez vos itinéraires à l'avance et surtout n'oubliez pas vos couteaux si la poudreuse n'est pas là jusqu'en haut. Dans la pente, la Mind Expander Split est super rapide et répond au doigt et à l'oeil.
