A system of strategically located protectors has been developed for optimal protection of exposed zones. For optimal moisture management, the Air-Conditioning Channel® and the Traverse AirFlow Channel™ System prevent heat from accumulating inside the ski boot for maximum comfort and breathability.

- Air-conditioning Channel®: It starts under the arch of the foot, the area that normally does not touch the ground, and goes up to the Aktiv-Bund®. Covering only 30 % of the skin’s surface, it is constructed using a fine-knit mesh, so with every step, moist air is pumped out of the shoe and fresh air is drawn back in. This technology allows fresh air to circulate even within a snug-fitting shoe and also provides optimal regulation of foot temperature.
- AirFlow Channels™: To protect the exposed ankle, X-SOCKS® have developed crescent-moon-shaped pads which offer the best possible protection without affecting the ventilation ability of the AirConditioning Channel®.
