The RX 12 SL is a 100% downhill ski model from Kästle.
Inspired by giant slalom skis. The RX 12 SL is a little gem of a giant slope ski, with which you can jump from one edge to another with all the dynamism you expect from a top-of-the-range ski. With a long turn radius that will delight lovers of big turns on piste, this SL version stands out thanks to turn stability and punch.
The grip is excellent, the ski responds instantly and the exit from tturns is very dynamic thanks to a very present tail. Its race-inspired sandwich construction includes a very powerful core made from two types of wood (poplar and beech) combined with four reinforcement layers: titanium and fibreglass for exceptional performance. This gives the ski all of its power, character and incredible gliding feeling.
The Austrian brand also offers what is now its trademark: a Hollowtech racing tip: Kästle has developed the Hollowtech 2.0 specifically for high performance piste models and racing skis. Even bigger than before, it ensures a smoother glide, even at top World Cup speeds.
As usual, Kästle offers a top-of-the-range ski with impeccable finishes, particularly in terms of the UHM graphite sintered base which, in addition to being very durable, is also very effective in terms of gliding.
The RX 12 SL is a racing beast created for advanced skiers, designed specifically for the piste.
The skis come pre-mounted with bindingsK14 Freeflex Evo.

The wood type, or combination of different woods, is individually catered to each model line, based on the ski‘s intended use.
Technology:
- Hollowtech 2.0: The brand's patented key technology is unique to ski manufacturing. Removing unneeded layers at the front of the ski makes it more stable, edge-grip is more powerful and the overall weight is reduced. The size of each Hollowtech is adapted to individual model lines.
- Elliptical Radius: The shape of the Elliptical Radius determines how quickly and aggressively the ski turns.
- Fast Grip Shovel: Short tip in which the contact point is located far forward. This ensures a faster response at the beginning of the turn.
- Fast Grip Tail: Tail with a contact point near the end of the ski. This results in a more aggressive and precise performance at the end of the turn.
