60 days to change your mindThe Racetrons are ski mountaineering boots from La Sportiva.
This boot is intended for ski mountaineering competitions or intensive training, but unlike most carbon racing boots, it is equipped with a Grilamid® construction and is intended for young skiers. Since 2018, the International Ski Mountaineering Federation obliges young people to run in carbon-free boots. It is also suitable for small sizes, and for those who want to avoid the sometimes very uncomfortable stiffness of carbon. The advantage is that it remains incredibly light with a weight of 820g per foot.
The Racetron model features the patented CavoBike Lever Pro mechanism, which provides a transition from walking to skiing mode in a single movement: ultra-fast and efficient. Once opened, the collar offers a 75° articulation, almost unattainable even on the steepest slopes. This allows you to keep a natural gait and never get stuck during ascents.
For ski passages on your back, the Racetron grips perfectly with its La Sportiva sole RaceGrip™, which is ISMF (International Ski Mountaineering Federation) compatible.
Comfort is not compromised with its incorporated Racetron Liner, totally thermosettable and doubly thick on the shin (overlap), as well as a lightweight lace-up system that allows the foot to be wrapped tightly for maximum precision.
