The outer lining has been completely redesigned to make the shoe lighter and more flexible in the footbed and when flexing. The gaiter is close to the foot and ankle, and the softshell profile effectively protects the foot from the cold and bad weather without restricting ventilation.
As for the chassis, external buttresses around the heel stabilise the foot laterally when changing tracks, going downhill or turning. They have the advantage of providing sufficient stability while remaining very flexible. They are fitted with classic lacing and a wide ring system for optimum foot wrap.
The fit is very comfortable , and with the new gaiter, the flexibility of the boot is much improved, with no discomfort to the toes at the end of the push-off.
