Alpine ski bindings -
A lightweight binding developed for ski mountaineering competitions, the R120 from the brand Plum is one of the lightest bindings on the market.
Very close in construction to the R99, this binding allows the addition of a crampon support if desired. The DIN is set at 7 (non-adjustable) for competitors who are as fast uphill as they are downhill. For such a lightweight binding, it remains very reliable thanks to high-performance materials like 7075 T6 aluminium and titanium used by the Haute-Savoie brand.
In addition to its featherweight, the R120 is a binding that proves easy to step into thanks to the "Too Facile" system. Indeed, Plum has not added any shimming parts or anything else; the engineers simply evaluated the perfect spacing of the pins.
The R120 is reserved for the most experienced ski mountaineering competitors who want the lightest possible equipment.
This binding is handmade and assembled in Haute-Savoie, which ensures a high level of finish and reliability.
