| TOURING CONSTRUCTION |
For over 75 years, Blizzard has been constantly researching innovative materials and new construction concepts. Our touring skis are the result of this long engineering process. By combining a new version of our Carbon Drive technology with our Wooden cores Trueblend Tour, we've created touring skis that aren't just light, but really do pack a punch. Manufacture lightweight skis is essential, but finding the ideal weight that guarantees both ascent and descent performance is even more so. The development of Trueblend Tour, our Wooden core specifically for ski touring, has enabled us to achieve this balance. This Core uses a carefully balanced blend of woods to provide optimum flexibility to meet the demands of practical use, with paulownia for its unbeatable strength-to-weight ratio, and poplar for a high degree of performance and durability. |
| CARBON DRIVE 3.0 |
Carbon Drive 3.0 East is the upgrade of the Carbon Drive 2.0 technology: a unidirectional carbon fibre structure shaped over the entire length in 3D, i.e. the entire length of the ski, combined with an ultra-light paulownia wood core (Zero G 85, 95) or an ISO/ETHER/PEPPER core (Zero G 105). This One-piece suits guarantees a super-light construction, while retaining the structure necessary for performance. The new technology Belayer ensures optimum torsional rigidity and flexibility, using carbon only where it is really needed. |
| CARBON REINFORCEMENT |
The Carbon Drive 3.0 is based on two carbon reinforcements under the foot. These are made up of two layers of bi-directional, edge-to-edge carbon fibre, placed in the binding mounting areas to provide..: BETTER EDGE ADHESION/GRIP BETTER POWER TRANSMISSION |
