The Wayback 92 2027 is a men's touring ski from the K2 brand.
The Wayback range offers excellent downhill performance, reliable edge grip, and impressive stability in all snow conditions. This range also features hydrophobic top sheets called Snowphobic, which prevent snow from sticking to the top of your skis, avoiding any added weight. Ingenious! The Skin Grommets attachment system for skins is very easy to use and ultra-reliable. The core is made of Paulownia Tour Lite wood, making the ski lightweight and giving it excellent behaviour both uphill and downhill.
The Wayback in its 92mm waist version is an intermediate ski in the range. It’s a ski that descends as well as it climbs, and climbs as well as it descends... Well... that’s the effect this ski has become known for over the years. With intermediate dimensions and a very limited weight, chaining up vertical metres on long day tours or multi-day outings will be effortless. Despite this ease of ascent, the ski delivers remarkable performance for enjoying yourself once in ski mode. It is very manoeuvrable, and weaving between trees in a powder-filled forest is its favourite playground. In couloirs, this Wayback 92 is truly agile and will get you out of tricky situations. The Wayback is also exemplary in terms of edge grip on hard snow as it carves wonderfully with an endpiece/hinge mount that has a very alpine character. A bestseller, and we know why!
In short, this Wayback 92 is an accessible and ultra-high-performance touring ski. Very lightweight, it will accompany you on all your adventures, no matter the vertical gain to be tackled, and will give you the possibility to send it properly from the summit to the car park.
