Description

The Wayback 106 is a freerando ski for men from K2.

The Wayback range offers excellent downhill performance, great grip and impressive stability in all snow conditions. This range also features hydrophobic Snowphobic top sheets, which prevent snow from sticking to the top of your skis, making your skis heavier. Ingenious! The Skin Grommets attachment system is very easy to use and very reliable.

The Titanal Touring Technology, a construction combining a Paulownia wood core, chosen for its lightweight properties and lively performance, and two layers of carbon and fibreglass reinforcements. To top it all off, a Titanal plate, mainly placed around the centre of the ski, offers exceptional stability without weighing the ski down.

With its 106mm waist, the Wayback is the widest in the range. With a weight of 1.5 kg per ski, it is lighter than the older version of its little brother, the Wayback 96, which is quite an impressive feat. With its wide sidecuts, you'll literally fly over the fresh snow with a massive smile on your face at such a speed that even jackdaws won't be able to keep up. It will not flinch on the days when the snow gods have decided not to turn on the powder machine, and it will traverse the complicated snow without a hitch, even at high speed.

Simply put, this Wayback 106 is a free touring ski for skiers from advanced to expert level, it allows you to forget that you have touring skis on your feet, and fly downhill. Thanks to its new construction, you won't have had trouble getting through that long climb beforehand and you won't have drained your legs of energy.

Team review
