Description

The Typo 2025 from Yes was born out of demand from riders who love the Basic, but wanted a bit more responsiveness and speed.

Ideal for resort addicts and those who aspire to become pros, this snowboard perfectly combines performance and accessibility. With its shape Directional Twin UnderBite, the Typo offers freestyle versatility while optimising control and stability in all conditions.
The profile Camrock 2-4-2 adds flotation in powder, while making turns easier and remaining forgiving, perfect for smooth progress without sacrificing too much edge hold.

Its Full Poplar core ensures lightness and responsiveness, while the TRIAX fiberglass construction enhances stability and control, especially at high speeds or in difficult terrain. The sole extruded provides durability and ease of maintenance, ideal for riders looking for minimum maintenance without compromising on glide. Finally, thanks to the Forever Flex, the board's flex is stabilised throughout its lifespan, giving you consistent performance from day one right through to your best sessions.

The Typo is as accessible as it is versatile and will delight riders who scour the resort long and wide.

Shape:

- Directionel Twin: A directional twin snowboard combines the freestyle versatility of a twin shape with a slight directional accent. While featuring a symmetrical shape for switch riding, it incorporates a subtle directional aspect, such as a slightly longer nose or setback stance, improving performance in one main direction. This design is ideal for combining good powder and park performance.

- Camrock 2-4-2: Hybrid rocker/camber profile with symmetrical tip and tail. The rocker is in the nose, with a slight camber between the feet. Camber sits between your feet like a spring, keeping your contact points with the ground as you enter and exit turns, allowing you to stay on edge longer. When compressed, the camber accentuates the rocker and lifts the nose, giving it more float. This creates a very versatile board profile that works in all conditions.

Construction:

- Extruded: YES Snowboards 's extruded bases are durable, low-maintenance and cost-effective, making them ideal for beginners and casual riders. Created by melting polyethylene granules and moulding them, these bases have a lower porosity, requiring less waxing and simplifying adjustments.

- Full Poplar :
The basic core for building snowboards from tip to tail. It offers a predictable balance between durability, regular flex and lightness.

- Triax : Triaxial fibreglass or "Triax" on a snowboard refers to a fibreglass construction where the fibres are oriented in three directions, generally along the length and width of the board and at an angle. This configuration adds torsional rigidity to the board, improving its stability and responsiveness. Snowboards with triaxial fibreglass tend to offer a more precise and controlled feel, making them suitable for riders who prefer stability at high speeds, better edge hold and better performance in difficult conditions. Triaxial fibre is often used in snowboards designed for advanced and aggressive riding styles.

Technology:

Forever Flex Forever Flex is a manufacturing process that stabilises a board's flex and rocker for its entire lifespan. Our boards finish the first stages of production slightly overbraced, then we 'break' them using a specialised machine that imitates the extreme use of the board. By flexing the fresh board fibres and epoxy at the factory, the materials settle into their final layout within the board layup, as if you'd been wrinkling the board for 20 days. This process helps us reduce our production tolerances so that the board you buy has a more accurate flex and rocker profile that will change less as you ride it more often.
Team review
