The Ultralight Project X from the brand Jones pushes the limits in terms of lightness and performance.
Designed for demanding riders seeking precise control and refined sensations, it combines an ultralight construction with dynamic behaviour to chain turns with precision on piste, naturally float in powder and remain perfectly controlled when the terrain becomes more challenging.
Its directional shape, combined with the Freeride CamRock profile, offers a remarkable balance between edge hold, high-speed stability and floatation. The moderate taper improves manoeuvrability in deep snow, while the High Traction Tech enhances control on firm snow thanks to three additional contact points per edge. The 3D Contour Base High smooths transitions and facilitates changes of direction. The Fusion Carbon construction combines carbon and fiberglass along the full length to reduce weight while maintaining excellent responsiveness.
The Fusion Core, mainly composed of paulownia, optimises the strength-to-weight ratio, while the Koroyd absorbs vibrations and reduces inertia in the tip for faster and smoother turns. The row of Float Pack inserts allows the bindings to be set further back when the powder is deep. Finally, the Ultra Base, enriched with carbon, guarantees fast and consistent glide in all conditions.
The Ultralight Project X is aimed at riders who seek excellence: a light, precise and high-performance board designed to transform every descent into an exceptional experience.

Flex: Medium and lively - 3/5
| SHAPE DIRECTIONAL | A directional shape featuring a longer nose, a shorter endpiece, and a setback stance to optimise float, manoeuvrability, and edge hold. Designed for riders who prioritise performance on groomed runs and off-piste rather than the snowpark. |
| FREERIDE CAMROCK | A versatile freeride profile combining camber underfoot, extended rocker at the nose, and shorter rocker at the endpiece. This delivers powerful edge hold, precise response, and high-speed stability, while offering exceptional float and manoeuvrability in powder. |
| HIGH 3D CONTOUR BASE | 3D Contour Base sole oriented towards freeride, featuring a 7 mm bevel at the nose and 0 to 7 mm at the endpiece. This bevel profile starts just before the contact points. |
| HIGH TRACTION TECH | High Traction Tech technology integrates three additional contact points per edge (at the front binding, the centre of the board, and the rear binding). The central point is more pronounced than the outer points for improved grip and enhanced control. |
| FUSION CORE | High-tech wood core made from selected paulownia, with poplar inserts along the sidecut line for increased edge durability. Designed for Jones Ultralight models, it is our lightest core to date; offering the perfect strength-to-weight ratio. |
| ULTRALIGHT ECO TOPSHEET | Ultralight version of our bioplastic topsheet made from castor oil; engineered to be extremely durable and scratch-resistant while minimising environmental impact. |
| ULTRA BASE | Exclusive Jones sintered base material enriched with carbon for unmatched speed and wax absorption in the industry. Infused with multiple wax types for exceptional glide on warm, wet, or variable snow conditions. Made in Austria. |
| KOROYD | Derived from aerospace technology, the award-winning synthetic material Koroyd is the lightest damping material we have ever tested. It absorbs vibrations and reduces inertia in the nose, allowing for quicker, smoother turns. |
| FUSION CARBON | Exclusive ultralight construction by Jones, combining carbon fibre and fibreglass along the full length (from nose to endpiece); designed to reduce weight without sacrificing performance or responsiveness. |
| FLOAT PACK | An additional row of inserts allows for a very setback binding position for deep powder days. |
