Description

The Prodigy 3 2025 is a ski from East Faction designed for freestyle, freeride and all-mountain for intermediate skiers.

The skis in the Prodigy range are designed for all-mountain use, but with certain freestyle or freeride specificities depending on the model. All the Prodigy are built in the same way and with the same technology. They have a Twin Directional shape with two rockers at the ends , giving them good behaviour and handling on all types of snow, both forwards and backwards. Only the core and the side cuts vary from one model to another.

With a 106mm waist, the Prodigy 3 is on the borderline between pure freeride and all-mountain. This waist provides an intuitive, stable ski that will follow you everywhere. Very comfortable in all types of snow, such as crusty and choppy, but it really finds its rhythm in the fresh, thick powder. Nevertheless, it remains very easy on the piste when you're changing terrain, or should you want to ski there all day!

In terms of construction, the side cuts of the Prodigy range are elliptical, to improve the ability to float in powder while maintaining fluidity when carving on piste.

Once off the marked trails, the Prodigy 3 can really show its colours! The middle ground dimensions allow you to have a lot of fun with a ski that has good float. Its poplar and ash Core Belayer excellent edge hold on hard snow.

The Prodigy 3 2025 is a versatile, easy-to-handle ski, ideal for intermediate level skiers and above who want to progress while having fun!

At Faction, there are three possible binding arrangements, from the most advanced to the furthest back: Newschool / Progressive / Classic. By default, assemblies will be carried out in accordance with the brand's recommendations, i.e. Progressive on Dancer, Agent, Prodigy and La Machine ; Newschool on Studio.

Poplar / Ash Core	Poplar is a soft, light-coloured and strong wood that has good flex and pop, as well as a high capacity to absorb vibrations. Ash is a heavier and harder wood that combines well with poplar because it provides more rigidity and durability. This mix offers excellent edge hold on hard snow and a solid platform for big parties, and plenty of pop and flex to unleash your creativity.
XL 2.5 mm Edges	The 2.5mm Edges are 35% thicker than regular 1.8mm Edges, which are already very tough. The addition of Steel gives riders a ski that can withstand the 'aggression' of certain practical activities for longer.
Elliptical radius sidecuts	The sidecuts with elliptic radii consist of a longer radius underfoot and shorter radius on the front and rear parts of the ski. The long radius under the foot makes pivoting quicker and easier, while the shorter radii give a smoother start to curves. These sidecuts are perfectly suited to a wide range of turn angles and sizes.
Ultra-high-strength edge sandwich construction	This construction is based around reinforcements along the edges of the side wall, between the edge and the topsheet. The edges offer the best possible stability and Grip when the ski is negotiating a turn, while protecting the Wood core, edges and topsheet from possible impact and outer damage.
Micro-Cap anti-shatter	The micro cap is a Hybrid construction that combines premium edge-bonded sandwich construction with lightweight, durable cap construcion. Thanks to the micro-cap, the sandwich construction provides exceptional edge hold and torsional stability, while the topsheet partially covers the edge, protecting the fragile edge that could otherwise chip off in the event of impact.
Moustache flex	Stability at the front and back of the binding zone ensures good edge hold. The soft, progressive flex in the heel and tip easily absorbs any bumps. This flex makes it easier to start and finish turns.
Twin Directional	The tail is considerably thinner than the tip for increased performance. The Tail twin is an invitation to adopt a playful, freestyle style, making riding in Switch perfectly accessible.

Team review

Le Prodigy 3 2025 est bien évidemment très performant en neige fraîche, il déjauge facilement et reste très maniable même sur une couche très épaise de peuf.

Là où il nous a surpris c'est sur la piste ! Il se comporte plus que correctement malgré sa largeur. C'est complètement possible de le prendre pour des journées de ski uniquement sur pistes.

Les Plus : Agile, joueur, se comporte très bien en neige fraîche
