Premiere 2026
The famous Premiere splitboard developed by the S-Lab from Salomon is back this winter!
Salomon Snowboard has set out to reduce all possible weight with the goal of making the ascents on a splitboard easier and faster than ever. The central part of the Premiere was developed using the same process as the skis of none other than Kilian Jornet. If his name doesn't mean anything to you, he's a man who hikes up Mont Blanc in flip-flops. Weighing 4.1 kilos, the Premiere's middle section separates into two, and can be easily stored on your backpack.
Both skis are narrower in width than 2-part splitboards, so you can follow the tight tracks for ski tourers and gain stability on steep slopes. The reduced weight of the Premiere was achieved through the use of high-end materials such as wood and Balsa for the core.
On the descent, the Premiere guarantees a solid and stable piece of kit, allowing you to fly down at any speed. The pronounced camber brings bite while the Rockers make it easy to get off to a good start. Turning is smooth and fluid thanks to its tapered directional shape.
As a high-performance splitboard (yes, they exist) the Premiere broadens the possibilities for binding mounting options, allowing you to choose between riding in softboots as well as in hardboots.
Finally, the Premiere is made of environmentally friendly materials and is equipped with Plum hardware and Pomoca skins cut to size.

Camber:
Cross Profile: Camber between the feet for better control, flex and landing stability. Rocker on nose & tail for effortless forward and switch flotation.
Shape:
Tapered Directional: The tail width is slightly tapered (2-20mm). This loosens up turn initiation and improves flotation in deeper snow without sacrificing grip on hard snow.
- All-mountain EB: The angle of the edges is softened at the ends, with a 1-degree bevel on the key parts of the sidecut, which then drops to a 2-degree bevel between the feet. As a result, this snowboard has impeccable hold in turns without any edge catches.
Core:
- Aero: Featuring an exclusive blend of sustainably sourced ultra-light balsa wood, and solid and reactive poplar, this wood core provides instant extreme lightness and power.
Construction:
- EQ1: A linear sidecut between the feet to distribute the pressure on the edges, combined with radial lines at the ends. This straight line makes the Premiere splitboard particularly effective in touring mode.
- GreenPoxy 28: Made from 28% plant-based molecules, this biobased epoxy resin combines high performance with low environmental impact.
Technology:
- Track-Lock: The Track-Lock system allows the skis and the two central parts of the S/LAB Premiere to be assembled together, making the splitboard lighter and easier to use.
- Flylight foam: Ultra-light foam inserted in the central ski of the S/LAB Premiere, for even more lightness when touring.
- Bi-axial medium density fibreglass: The medium density fibre layers manufactured in Europe guarantee consistency in terms of quality for light and dynamic boards.
- ABS: The molecular structure can be described as a concrete bar. It possesses the stiffness necessary for energy transfer, and the dampening properties to absorb impact efficiently.
- Natural wax: A paraffin-free wax made from natural ingredients. A non-polluting formula that meets the highest of standards in terms of glide speed.
- High quality stone finish: Our fine stone finish is particularly efficient on our Sintered EG base, speeds up in powder or softer snow conditions.
- 100% recycled sintered base: A base made of 100% recycled material! Reducing waste without sacrificing gliding quality!
- Castor bean-based coating : A sustainable alternative to petroleum-based products, castor bean, a plant-based ingredient, is more environmentally friendly.
-Plum hooks The PLUM hooks are specifically made for high performance splitboarding. Their asymetric profile guaranties a perfect link between all the parts. They are light and easy to use.
La Premiere est une splitboard qui offre la possibilité de se dissocier en 4 parties indépendantes, permettant de disposer de skis moins larges, moins lourds, et surtout plus stables à la montée. La Premiere propose un ratio très performant à la montée, pour les randonneurs les plus exigeants.
Agréable, car maniable et plus légère, cette planche ravira les riders à la recherche d'un split performant à la montée mais aussi à la descente. En effet, la planche dispose de sérieux arguments en descente. Montée sur un shape directionnel fuselé, elle permet d'attaquer les pentes vierges avec précision. Stabilité, contrôle, le tout sur un flex soutenu.
