Description

The Orb Freebird 2023 is a unisex touring ski from Black Crows and part of the brand's touring range.

The Orb Freebird is back with its excellent performance thanks to its secure rocker. True to its reputation, this model is as versatile and efficient as ever!

Its shape remains unchanged and it has many of the same characteristics but with a lightweight core of paulownia mixed with glass and carbon fibres. The Orb Freebird only weighs 2700g. It performs well in climbs: a true all mountain ski. A titanial reinforcement under the foot allows it to adapt to the new hybrid bindings and increase stability.

As with for the entire Freebird, Black Crows range, Black Crows has sought the best compromise to offer skis that are lighter, but still highly technical and high-performing. With its progressive front rocker, the Orb Freebird offers significant lift in fresh and trampled snow while maintaining good stability along the entire length of the edge and perfect grip. It is quick on the turns and stable on hard and challenging snow conditions. Its intermediate flex makes it a ski that remains tolerant and comfortable.

The Orb Freebird is a ski of choice for all the mountain lovers who are not afraid to head for pristine slopes under their own steam and want maximum pleasure from the descent!

TheOrb Freebird is a touring ski that we really enjoyed.

Its size and its 90 mm waist offer great versatility. It is comfortable on all terrains and all on types of snow. Its light core allows it to have a good rendering uphill. It is fast, precise and very reassuring in the supports downhill.

Advantages: Light, strong and authentic

Disadvantages: None
