The Megalight 2026 is a men's freeride snowboard from East. Nidecker for experienced and expert snowboarders.
The flagship board of the Nidecker freeride range, the Megalight needs no introduction as it is so well known. But just for the fun of it, we'll do it anyway!
The famous freeride board is back this year, more elegant and Powerful than ever. On board, it has a Core Mega Core Integrated within a construction N-Tech 2.0 with carbon reinforcements and fibreglass Triax Plus. The 3D N-Concept refines the core in the centre of the board for easier longitudinal twisting and therefore improved control.
As for the tips Freeflex 3.0Fine spatulas are made of elastomer for improved shock absorption. What's more, the Megalight East is a stable board that deforms despite its rigidity. Finally, the camber Surfy Camrock offers a long rocker nose for top floatation in Powder snow.
The Megalight 2026 is designed to chase the most dedicated lines and Powder snow spots where few riders venture!

Flex: 8/10 - Stiff
| CAMBER - SURFY CAMROCK | The Surfy CamRock has a long rocker on the nose and a regular camber on the rest of the board. Combined with the shorter tail we use on boards with this profile, it lets you glide over bumps or powder snow and initiate turns on the back foot for a unique, surf-like handling experience. |
| SHAPE - DIRECTIONAL | The Directional Shape is the classic snowboard shape, designed with a nose slightly longer than the tail to concentrate the pop at the tail while offering a high level of float, fluidity and control on all terrain and in all conditions. |
| CORE - MEGA CORE | The most advanced Core in our range is made from a blend of premium poplar and paulownia. Vertical layers of fibreglass reinforce each strand to boost flex and add explosive snap throughout. |
| TOPSHEET - ABSORBNID | Topsheet absorbing vibrations and making the board more responsive, more dynamic and, above all, less tiring. |
| TRIAX PLUS | Tri-axial 45° glass fibre adds rigidity and therefore responsiveness and pop to the Core. |

| N-TECH | Our most advanced Manufacture process combines elements of cap and sandwich construction while reducing the weight in the middle of the board. The result is a Powerful flex from tip to tail that allows precise control of torsion. |
| FREEFLEX 3.0 | By removing the Thickness from the wood and fibreglass in the tips and replacing them with more resistant but lighter materials, the result is a board that is lighter, more powerful, more responsive, more durable and more effective at absorbing vibrations. |
| 3D N-CONCEPT | This particular geometry of the Core gives the board a different flex under each support. This allows for an insane level of control of the board. |
| INSERTS 4x2 / 6+1 | 6 rows of inserts, 2 cm apart, give you a maximum choice of support widths and fit all the bindings on the market. An additional set of holes towards the tail offers a useful option for deeper days. |
