Mega Split + Skins 2023
The Mega Split 2023 is a men's splitboard from Capita. Inspired by Mega Mercury and its high-end construction attributes, the Mega Split is aimed at riders looking for lightness and performance.
With a 3D Ascend 1 Split core and carbon reinforcements of the latest generation, this splitboard has been designed to be as light as possible on the way up while offering maximum pop and dynamism on the way down. Once engaged at breakneck speeds, the Mega Split reacts to the slightest request with a power that would take the hair off any mountian goat (even the best shorn).
Equipped with the most versatile camber from Capita, the Mega Split offers a mix of classic camber between inserts, rockers on the outside of the inserts and WAH-POW! tips. The Resort V2 Profile camber offers excellent grip at high speeds and optimum float in powder. The shape and the flex directional are coupled with a 12.7mm setback to enhance handling and flotation in powder.

Camber:
Resort V2 Profile: Combining a standard and reverse camber. Positive camber between presses for grip and support. Reverse camber (rocker) for tolerance, float in powder, and easier turning. This new camber provides the pop and responsiveness of a standard camber board, with the handling and tolerance of a reverse camber board.
WAH-POW! tips : A break in the tip(s) that provides a stronger recovery than a rocker, for increased lift and manoeuvrability in powder.
Shape:
Directional: shape with the bindings a little further back towards the tail and a slightly longer nose for better flotation in deep snow.

Sole:
- HyperDrive base: New version of sintered sole in ultra high density polyethylene, designed with additives and high molecular weight to obtain a high quality anti-friction sole. Fastest and most solid base in the range.
- New Age Directional Sidecut with Death Grip: Reduced sidecut due to hybrid shape but counterbalanced by an almost constant contact point, the Death Grip for edge grip as if you were on rails.
Skins:
- 65% Mohair / 35% Nylon
- Standard skin glue
- The skins are delivered pre-assembled with tip/tail clips.
