Absent from the collections for the last 2 years, the splitboard Fa Split Package from Burton is back for the 2022/2023 season.
Based on the Flight Attendant model, recognized as one of the best snowboards in the Big mountain Burton freeride range, it is not surprising that the split version is just as amazing! Although separated into two parts, the downhill behaviour of the Fa Split remains responsive and stable. The classic camber ensures perfect flotation in powder. What more could you ask for in a hiking board?
The light wood core Super Fly II™ 700G Core is a major asset for this Flight Attendant Splitboard which is designed for both downhill and uphill skiing. So if you want to say goodbye to the long queues at the bottom of the chairlifts and start freeriding splitboarding, then the Fa Split Package is for you.
The Fa Split Package is suitable for experienced snowboarders who want to start freeriding on a splitboard and ride the powder.
Skins are not sold with the splitboard.
Flex: Directional 7/10 : A more dynamic tail and a more flexible nose which allows the rider to maintain control on all terrains, in all conditions.

Camber:
Directional camber : The directional camber profile has camber under both feet for optimal stability in deep turns and variable conditions, and a Rocker nose which provides height and better floatation.
Shape:
Directional 10mm taper: classic shape with the nose slightly longer than the tail for excellent float on unpacked snow. Tapered refers to a shape in which the nose is wider than the tail, making it easier to enter and exit turns, allowing for greater stability at high speeds, and improved float.

FSC™ Certified Super Fly II™ 700G Splitboard Core and Squeezebox : strong and very light wood core. The wood comes from sustainably managed forests! The Squeezebox construction involves thickening or thinning sections of the board's profile around and between the bindings to improve energy transfer.
fibreglass - Triax™ with Carbon I-Beam™reinforcement of the core with a carbon insert for better pop.
Base - Sintered WFO : features a specially formulated wax that is infused deep into the pores of this extra-absorbent, high-density material, making it extremely durable for riding all season long in any conditions.
Split Channel pre-assembled with Channel compatible interface pods.
Pro-Tip™: the nose and tail are thinner than the rest of the board, for a lighter weight and improved handling.
Infinite Ride™: this technology ensures that the snowboard retains its initial flex, pop and other characteristics throughout its lifespan.

For the best possible quality of use, choose the Hitchhiker Burton bindings with the Spark system, which do not require a transition kit.
Pucks are compatible with Voilé transition kits (sold separately) if you wish to use basic bindings.
Le Flight Attendant Split monté avec les fixations Hitchhiker Burtonsont très agréables à utiliser de par le système facile Spark. En neige poudreuse, on ne sent quasiment pas que la planche est coupée en deux par le milieu. Sur neige dure ou glacée, l'accroche est sécurisante et permet une prise de carre franche. La conduite en courbe dans la neige poudreuse est très agréable, et la planche se montre joueuse et plutôt maniable.
Les Plus : comportement quasi identique à la Flight Attendant.
Les Moins : couleur un peu sombre.
