The Family Tree collection is a snowboard range developed by Burton which aims to create freeride snowboards with innovative shapes and characteristics.
The Family Tree Pow Wrench Splitboard is the Splitboard version of the Pow Wrench from Burton.
As you can probably guess from its name, the Pow Wrench Splitboard certainly wasn't made to sit around and collect dust. It was born for riding in heavy snow!
Its atypical tail has been cleverly thought out, just like its shape and flex. It features a directional shape and 20mm taper which improves floatation and turning. It is impossible to get covered with snow once on the Pow Wrench Splitboard because it floats so well.
Be careful, just because it's small and wide doesn't mean you can't slash and carve with it. The FSC™ Certified Super Fly II™ 700G Core delivers essential stiffness for versatility and the Triax fibreglass provides responsiveness for all types of riding, from aggressive to soft.
In addition, The Channel splitboard system from Burton provides mounting, comfort and easy assembly.
In short, once you've tried this Pow Wrench Splitboard, only then will you really know what a proper powder board is.

Flex: 7 - Twin : The Twin Flex is perfectly symmetrical from nose to tail for a balanced and versatile ride in a classic or switch style.
Sidecuts: 316.5/265/296.5 for the 154 cm size
Turn radius: 6.80 m (154 cm)
Camber:
Flat top : The directional Flat Top profile offers a flat nose rocker profile to ensure stability and a relaxed float, perfect for intense days on challenging terrain.
Shape:
Directional (taper 20mm): Its directional shape is designed with a nose that is slightly longer than the tail in order to concentrate pop in the tail, whilst providing a lot of float, fluidity and control on all terrains and in all conditions.
Materials/Technologies :
Core - FSC™ Certified Super Fly II™ 700G Core with Dualzone™ EGD™ and Squeezebox : the Super Fly II 700G core features lighter and stronger wood types to provide a high level of reactivity and strength, while reducing the overall weight. The Dualzone EGD engineered woodgrain is placed along the heel and toe edges on two continuous zones that are perpendicular to the rest of the wood core. This gives a more coherent edge hold and reinforced reactivity.
fibreglass - Triax™ : Triax fibreglass offers versatile flex and response for all types of riding, from smooth to intense.
Base - Sintered WFO : features a specially formulated wax that is infused deep into the pores of this extra-absorbent, high-density material, making it extremely durable for riding all season long in any conditions.
The Channel® : The Channel® snowboard mounting system is designed to allow you to find the perfect position, and is compatible with major brands' bindings.
Frostbite Edges : edges that extend out slightly around the mountings for better grip.
Pro-Tip™: the nose and tail are thinner than the rest of the board, for a lighter weight and improved handling.
Infinite Ride™: this technology ensures that the snowboard retains its initial flex, pop and other characteristics throughout its lifespan.
Epoxy Super Sap®: Super Sap® is a resin made from biological materials that reduces the carbon footprint by 50% compared to conventional petroleum-based epoxies. Reduced oil consumption means a smaller carbon footprint for every snowboard, which definitely works in our favour.
