Powder Bt Beacon

The Powder BT Beacon from the Pieps brand is an avalanche victim detector (ADV), designed for mountain activities in risky terrain: off-piste, freeride, mountaineering, ski touring.

The brand strives to develop ever more effective avalanche transceivers that can be adapted to any situation, so that every rescue can be carried out without wasting a second.

General:
This device has a maximum range of 60 metres. The Powder BT assists you in the rescue: the device shows you the distance, the direction to follow and the number of buried subjects. Sound search guidance makes it easier to locate buried people. When the device automatically switches to SEND mode or when it detects the initial signal in a search situation, a vibration alerts the rescuer, who can concentrate fully on his search. Its autonomy in SEND mode is 600 h with lithium batteries and 400 h with alkaline batteries. The Powder BT is supplied with its ergonomic and sturdy carrying pouch. It can be managed with the Piepsapplication.

Advanced features :
In the event of interference, the device will automatically use the antenna with the strongest signal. The Ghost Signal Elimination eliminates all spurious signals, automatically checking that the signals detected have indeed been emitted by avalanche transceivers. The Powder BT also has an analogue mode that you can use for advanced search strategies or for demonstration purposes. The mode TX600 allows you to search for the Pieps TX600, which is a mini dog or hardware transmitter.

Multi-victim mode :
In the event of multi-victim burial, the Powder BT offers you differentiated marking of the victims. This avoids conflicting signals and improves efficiency. The Auto-Select function prevents you from spreading yourself too thin by automatically directing you towards the strongest signal. With the marking function for victims, the DVA tells you the distance and direction of each victim.

Lifeguard safety :
