Description

The Blade Optic 96 are versatile men's all-mountain skis from Line for advanced to expert skiers looking for power and versatility to be able to enjoy some variation at the ski resort.

The Blade Optic collection is made up of four models of freeride skis ranging from 92mm to 116mm in width. It is a true blend of the Line Vision and Blade skis. Basically, Line has taken the profile of the Vision skis (shape, rocker, flex, mounting point) and combined it with the Blade skis' laminated metal core construction. Given the light weight of the Visionskis, the heavier Blade core is intended to make the Blade Optics considerably more stable at higher speeds than the Visions, while retaining the playful ride of the latter. The result is powerful, ultra-stable skis that are also extremely manoeuvrable, perfect for skiing everywhere at high speed.

The second widest model in the range, the Blade Optic 96, is very versatile. Its 96mm skate and double rocker mean it's at home in the powder and has great manoeuvrability on the slopes too. Also, their wood core reinforced with a titanium plate, along with a classic camber offers good edge support with a lot of stability and control at high speed.

So if you like show the slopes what you've got on all types of terrain, don't wait any longer to have fun with the Blade Optic 96!

Technologies:

Sidewall : Ultra-high-density polyethylene walls at the edges absorb vibration for maximum durability, giving a feeling of softness and stability.

Fatty™ Base & Edge: It's a 30% thicker construction and edge, with a 1.7mm base, which greatly improves the durability and lifespan of the skis.

Core
: Light, agile poplar wood.

Thin Tip : The core has been lightened and the edges thinned out.

Overdrive : Vertically integrated titanium reinforcement throughout the skis, extending through the tip and tail designed to add stability, power and precision.

Early Rise : The rise of the tip and tail starts sooner as the skis' profile moves away from the centre, making turning easier and helping to keep the skis stable. It also means effortless float in softer snow!

Directional Flex : The more flexible tip allows for easy pivoting and float while the more rigid tail provides power, stability and control at high speed.

5-Cut : 5 different turn radiuses for a more intuitive and agile pair of skis.

Gas Pedal Metal™ : Titanal is placed on the skis to give better grip and torsional stability while remaining a responsive pair of skis. Titanal is also on the tip and tail to give better transmission of energy and power.

Team review
