The MX 83 is a model of piste / all-mountain skis from Kästle.
Kästle returns this winter with its famous all-mountain skis MX 83 for all our enjoyment, while retaining the characteristics that have made the brand so successful: snow feel and power. Whatever the type of terrain and snow, the MX 83 has proved itself to be a model of efficiency on piste, with a character all its own.
Precise and very stable, the MX 83 is also a safe ski at high speeds: you have two rails under your feet, and nothing can disturb them. Compared to its big brother MX 88, the MX 83 is a little narrower in the skid for even better performance on the track, but beyond these differences in dimensions, it has a shorter radius, making it more agile and lively, with an impressive ease of cornering. A real joy in carving!
The sandwich construction - straight edges, inspired by racing techniques, integrates a wood core of two species (poplar / beech) combined with four reinforcement plates, two in titanium and two others in fibreglass. This gives the ski all of its power, character and incredible gliding feeling. On the MX 83, the Austrian brand is also offering a new version of its iconic tip, lighter but with better shock absorption thanks to the Hollowtech 3.0the result is a comfortable, unruffled ski!
The MX 83 is a benchmark piste ski for experienced skiers looking for a responsive model with excellent performance. A real success!

Construction:

Core structure:
- Woodcore: Each Kästle ski is made with the finest wood core, manufactured with precision to one tenth of a millimetre. This allows the brand to control the weight, responsiveness and cushioning characteristics of the ski, resulting in a high-quality, durable product. The wood type, or combination of different woods, is individually catered to each model line, based on the ski‘s intended use.
Technologies:
- Hollowtech 3.0 Carbon: The brand's patented key technology is unique to ski manufacturing. Removing unneeded layers at the front of the ski makes it more stable, edge-grip is more powerful and the overall weight is reduced. The size of each Hollowtech is adapted to individual model lines. The new version 3.0 offers an even lighter tip with carbon and less material for an even better effect.
- Elliptical Radius: The shape of the Elliptical Radius determines how quickly and aggressively the ski turns.
- Rise: Rise technology allows for tip optimisation for better float control depending on the terrain. The Classic Rise improves responsiveness on track and off-road.
- Fast Grip Shovel
- Fast Grip Tail: Tail with a contact point near the end of the ski. This results in a more aggressive and precise performance at the end of the turn.
