The MTN Pig 2024 is an iconic freeride board from Ride. Designed for experienced to expert riders, it is ready to swallow tons of fresh snow.
Let's start with the new features; first of all the most obvious: the shape. Although the latter is still a directional shape with a larger and slightly wider nose, the tail is now cut in half, a bit like a swallow tail. This allows it to be even more at ease in powder snow. This allows the tail to sink into the popcorn, which increases manoeuvrability, and brings out the nose for increased lift.
This space tail does not reduce the effective edge length and allows you to push the board even harder to twist and make short, powerful turns.
The rigid flex is reinforced with Carbon Array 5™ and Carbon Slimwalls® inserts that bring precision and a tremendous energy return as soon as the board is put under tension. There are also Double Impact Plates under the bindings to strengthen the board and to stabilise yourself whilst on the snow. So you end up with an ultra stable board that propels you at the end of every corner.
As for its profile, the MTN Pig retains its large camber over most of its length and a pronounced rocker at the nose to make it easy to get off the ground in the fresh snow and to facilitate turning.
On the piste, the MTN Pig is far from slacking, as it goes from corner to corner in the blink of an eye and carves like it's on a racetrack.
The MTN Pig is a board for riding hard, riding fast and riding well, and it will make you understand this.

Sidecuts:
301-252-295 mm in the 159cm model
Sidecut: 10 - 6.6 m in the 159cm model
Flex: 9/10, rigid.
Shape:
Directionnal Hybride Camber: Long camber that extends beyond the feet for excellent responsiveness and edge grip and a big front rocker. This rocker is there for greater float and manoeuvrability on all snow conditions. The Split tail helps to push the heel into the powder for excellent manoeuvrability.
Tappered Linear Quadratic Sidecut : This consists of a radius that facilitates nose corner entry, from the grip to the rear inserts and a long, perfectly straight line to the tail. The result is a considerable power gain at the end of a turn
Materials:
Performance Core : It is a very strong aspen core, combined with bamboo for its flex and paulownia for its light weight. A perfect blend of strength and lightness.
Double Impact Plates : 2 reinforcement plates superimposed and placed under each of the binding zones. Improves resistance when compressed and reduces the risk of breaking.
Carbon Infused Glass: Carbon fibres placed perpendicular to the glass fibres. For an even more powerful pop, more responsiveness and without stiffening the board.
Sole: Sintered in Ptex 4000, which is more durable, dense, and resistant than an extruded base.
Technologies:
Thin Con All RIDE boards have a refined nose and tail. The aim is to reduce weight, facilitate the use of the ends and promote durability.
Carbon Slimewalls®The Slimewalls (in urethane and all around the board) are combined with carbon and placed strategically. This way, the rider can put more pressure on the board to enjoy a tenfold pop. They improve the cushioning of the edges and sidewalls making them more resistant.
Roll In Construction : 3D construction around the Slimewall edges for greater rigidity, to prevent the torch from disintegrating and reduce the overall weight of the board.
Carbon Array 5 This technology effectively redistributes energy throughout the board, regardless of the stance of the bindings. 5 wide carbon strips extend from the binding area to the middle of the opposite rocker. Your heels are connected to your opposite edge (and so are your toes), which makes it much easier to control the board and switch between the edges.
