Freeride Snowboard - Unisex -
The Morning Glory is a snowboard from the Amplidbrand, designed for freeride use and aimed at confirmed or expert riders. It's a 2017 model updated for the 2024 season.
For its comeback, Amplid has decided to pull out all the stops and make it an ultra-performanceboard, packed with technology and innovation. It's part of the Future Shapesrange, a range of boards specialising in snow powder.
On the programme is a new directional shape with a huge nose and short tail that, quite literally, allow it to soar above the powder without the slightest effort, while retaining great manoeuvrability. Moreover, its Cruise Camber is composed of a long but low camber and an Early Rise front rocker, perfect to venture into the snow but also to cut big clean curves on groomed snow.
Also in this spirit of maximum lift, the Morning Glory features Floatation Tips, a technology that maximises lift without impacting speed.
In terms of materials, it features a Omni Core core in lightweight, durable poplar, a central carbon band present throughout, bi-axial fibreglass and even hardened glass inserts under the bindings. With all this combined with the stiff flex, the Morning Glory becomes a responsive board that absorbs vibrations effectively for a very surfy feel.
As you can see, the Morning Glory is made for riders who want to charge all day long in the powder snow and who want to carve to the point of touching the snow with their nose when they ride the slopes

Flex: 6/10 - Medium
Sidecut: 313/264/288mm

Cambre :
Cruise Camber (Camber + rocker): the standard camber under the supports complemented by the rocker in the nose makes the board even livelier in powder and gives it the ability to go everywhere.
Shape :
Tapered Directional Classic shape with a nose twice as long as the tail for lift in ungroomed snow. Tapered refers to a shape in which the nose is wider than the tail, making it easier to enter and exit turns, allowing for greater stability at high speeds, and improved float.
Floatation Tips The square nose increases the board's buoyancy in powder snow.
Jekyll & Hyde Geometry A new feature: maximum contact between the footprint and the snow to develop as much lift as possible.
Core:
Omni Core A wood core with proven resistance, the result of years of research by STG1/>. Versatile and robust core.
Carbon Pop BandCarbon strips running the length of the board through each insert area. Amplifies pop and retains the board's natural flex.
Hexo2 Lite The spatulas have honeycombed sections for effective weight reduction!
Pre-cured Impact Plates Reinforcement of the core at the fastener inserts to limit impact caused by the fasteners.
Topsheet :
Biax Glass Double layer of fibreglass applied in both directions for a responsive, forgiving board.
Thick Cut : The front and rear tips are thicker than the rest of the board. This reduces vibrations and increases stability.
Semelle :
Sintered 7 base Ultra-high density sintered sole, very hard and resistant.
