Freerando bindings -
The Kingpin Mwerks 12 Black/Red is a freerando binding from the brand Marker.
With this model, the German brand revolutionises the insert binding and the practice of touring in general. It has been developed around three key aspects: protection, performance, and comfort. To achieve this, the brand designed a system completely different from the models already available on the market. An insert toe piece combined with an innovative endpiece/hinge mount that incorporates concepts from an alpine heel piece. The result? Much more efficient power transmission, greater precision, increased comfort, for a smooth, comfortable, and high-performing ski.
The front insert system ISI Toe maintains excellent range of motion during ascents. The revolutionary carbon Kingpin Heel heel piece delivers all the precision and power the skier needs on technical descents while reducing weight. It is this combination that makes this binding a true innovation.
With the titanium or steel Climbing Aid, you have 3 climbing positions (0°, 7°, 13°). This allows you to climb even higher and faster on your natural playground. Added to this is an ultra-wide power transmitter XXL Power Transmitter in the heel piece for reduced weight and minimal friction.
This binding has been designed to be as comfortable as possible. This is true both for the ski/walk system and the climbing wedge system, which are extremely easy to engage. It is also the only insert binding to be certified DIN ISO 13992:2007 by the TUV (the renowned German testing organisation).
Lightweight, comfortable on the ascent, high-performing and precise on the descent, the Kingpin 12 is aimed at lovers of untouched terrain who find their reward in the downhill run.

| KINGPIN HEEL | Unlike traditional insert bindings, the revolutionary construction of the Kingpin offers ideal power transmission. The heel piece has been designed with wide contact points to fully envelop the boot, eliminating any cut loose that could occur during turn release. This design also allows for more power during edging since the majority of the power comes from the heel. The widened base provides additional support and greater precision. Its climbing aid has 3 settings: 0°, 7°, and 13°. |
| XXL POWER TRANSMITTER | The ultra-wide power transmitters in the heel piece have reduced weight to ensure minimal friction. |
| ISI TOE | The new ISI toe piece system makes stepping in easier thanks to its high resistance and carbon reinforcement. |
| CLIMBING AID | The titanium or steel climbing aid, easily adjustable with a ski pole, offers three positioning options: 0°, 7°, or 13°. Integrated elastomer damping elements provide a smooth ascent, simply by eliminating the annoying “clicking” noise. |
