The Burton Instigator is an all-mountain snowboard for beginner and intermediate riders. Get the best possible snowboard experience from the start with the Burton Instigator and skip the long, boring group lessons! With the Instigator you can start your very first turns on your snowboard confidently.
The Instigator is designed for you to improve with ease and lets you build confidence as you learn snowboarding step by step. The directional shape provides you with a forgiving board and excellent manoeuvrability.
Thanks to the Flat Top™ camber you can forget about edge catches and just focus on every turn. The Flat Top® camber makes the board more forgiving than the equivalent model, with Pure Pop camber.
With the Instigator you'll make great progress on all sorts of terrains. Its camber also allows you to get off the slopes and start enjoying powder snow with complete ease. Take the Instigator to the snowpark and do your first jumps with ease.

Camber - Flat Top® : the Flat Top profile provides stability, balance and continuous edge control for a smooth riding experience
Shape - Directional (5mm taper) : The directional shape is the classic snowboard shape, designed for a ride with a nose that is slightly longer than the tail in order to concentrate pop in the tail, while offering a lot of float, fluidity and control on all terrains and in all conditions.
Flex - Twin : The Twin Flex is perfectly symmetrical from nose to tail for a balanced and versatile ride in a classic or switch style.
Core - - FSC® Certified Super Fly® 800G Core with Dualzone® EGD® and Squeezebox: The Super Fly 800G core is a highly dynamic two-wood core with laminations of hard and soft wood to reduce overall weight without limiting performance. The wood grain designed with Dualzone EGD is positioned along the edges under the toes and heel in two continuous areas, perpendicular to the rest of the wood core, for consistent edge grip and enhanced energy.
Fiberglass - Biax® : The Biax Fiberglass has a soft torsional flex, adapts to jib, and offers an easy control feel, perfect for beginner riders or use in the snow park.
Base - Extruded: Extruded sole offers speed and durability and requires little maintenance
Technology:
- The Channel® : The Channel® snowboard mounting system is designed to allow you to find the perfect position, and is compatible with the major brands' bindings.
-Frostbite Edges : edges that extend out slightly around the mountings for better edge grip.
- Epoxy Super Sap® Super Sap® is a resin made from biological materials which reduces the carbon footprint by 50% compared to conventional petroleum-based epoxies. Reduced oil consumption means a smaller carbon footprint for every snowboard, which definitely works in our favour.
La Burton Instigator est un snowboard tolérant qui pardonne les petites fautes récurrentes en situations d'apprentissage. Son cambre plat la rend stable sur piste et permet d'aborder les premières traces en poudreuse grâce à une bonne portance des rockers présents en spatule et en talon.
La semelle de l'Instigator est résistante et durable et endure les passages un peu plus incertains! Très facile de prise en main la Burton Instigator permet de rider tranquillement sans avoir les jambes trop fatiguées après une journée complète de fun!
