No subject to promotional offersDesigned for riders who refuse to choose between freeride and freestyle, the Howler Splitboard from Jones brings the explosive backcountry DNA to touring routes.
Developed with Victor de Le Rue, it combines power, precision, and creativity to tackle steep lines, accelerate through couloirs, or approach jump landings with confidence. Its directional shape, featuring an elongated nose, shortened endpiece/hinge mount, and setback, optimises float and maneuverability while enhancing edge hold.
The High Power Camber, present along the entire length, delivers explosive pop and remarkable precision. Its 8 mm rise and extended flat zone under the rear inserts increase the power of the endpiece/hinge mount for quick rebounds out of turns and stabilising committed landings. The slight taper preserves a dynamic and balanced feel, while the intermediate Traction Tech enhances edge hold on hard snow. The 3D Contour Base Medium facilitates transitions and direction changes.
The construction combines a lightweight and dampening Control Split Core, Koroyd to reduce vibrations, Triax fiberglass, and ampliTex™ Carbon/Linen reinforcements for excellent responsiveness. Finally, the Karakoram Ultra Clips 2.0 and Tip-Lock Tip Clips 2.0 ensure a reliable connection between the two parts of the splitboard.
