The Helio Carbon 102 is a touring ski from the brand Black Diamond.
The Helio Carbon range consists of skis designed for backcountry. These skis are similar to the Helio Recon range we already knew, but in a lighter version to better handle more elevation gain. This range offers several widths: from 88 mm for fans of racing and touring on technical terrain to 115 mm for powder enthusiasts seeking untouched lines.
The Helio Carbon 102 is the most durable ski in the Helio Carbon range. It is therefore intended for powder lovers who seek stability on the ascent and powerful glide on the descent.
This ski features a poplar wood core reinforced by a carbon fibre structure and strategic doses of fibreglass. This structure offers a progressive flex with good torsional stiffness for such a lightweight ski. The ski also has a full-length ABS sidewall. This provides damping and sharper, easier edge hold. Finally, the tip and tail rockers ensure good floatation in powder, especially when breaking the first trail in fresh snow.
So, as you can see, this is the ultimate powder ski, one you can take all year round for off-piste and ski touring.

| PRE-IMPREGNATED CARBON FIBRE | Pre-impregnated carbon fibre structure offering torsional stiffness and balanced flex. This technology allows precise control of the amount of epoxy resin used in each ski and maximises the efficiency of the fibre in terms of strength and rigidity. It reduces weight while maintaining the durability, precision, and consistency of every ski produced. |
