Charger Black

The Charger Black is a splitboard binding from the brand Union. It features a rapid ascent/descent transition system and is designed for expert riders.

Unlike the Explorer, the Charger are pinless and equipped with a dual-locking system with a rear lever, allowing for easy and quick switching between ascent and descent modes. This system saves you from fiddling with small parts in the cold and snow. The EXP3 baseplate made of Duraflex CB is stiff and provides ideal support for a stable foot platform during descents. The Exoframe 5.0 and TS 4.0 straps reduce pressure points around the ankle and toe areas while maintaining optimal hold.

The EXP3 spoiler in Duraflex ST, which is stiffer than that of the Explorer, offers the perfect balance between flexibility and responsiveness. During ascent, the spoiler can be positioned in vertical mode to improve stride length. The heel riser is directly integrated into the binding baseplate and can be easily engaged to simplify your progress on the steepest slopes.
