- AutoFlex System: The new AutoFlex system provides elasticity inside the Backland Summit binding to support the natural flex of the ski and further improve safety. The system includes a spring under the heel mechanism that automatically provides 5mm of longitudinal travel between the two ends of the foot during the arc of a turn. The 5 mm provided by the spring is in addition to the recommended 4 mm of sole adjustment, giving a total of 9 mm of binding travel.
