The Backland 88 W are touring skis for women from Atomic.
The Backland range's success comes from its perfect adaptation to both aspects of ski touring. The Light Woodcore makes them extremely light for ascents while also being perfectly stable for descents. Moreover, it is just as efficient on packed snow as in powder.
The skis feature a Horizon spoon-shaped tip, which provides you with perfect performance in powder snow and makes it even lighter and easier to ski off-piste, even on crusty snow. Its Dura Cap Sidewall construction guarantees ideal power transmission and excellent grip on all types of terrain and its rocker in the tip allows it to be at ease in all types of snow.
They are very versatile, perform well on all types of terrain and offer stability worthy of alpine skis.
The Backland 88 W is designed for easy ascents and excellent downhill performance in all types of snow.

Construction:
- Light Woodcore : Made from poplar and Karuba wood, this core minimises the weight of the ski to give you a real advantage when climbing.
- Dura Cap Sidewall : Solid edge construction under the bindings, from the sole to the lining, for good power transmission control and exceptional grip.
- Fiberglass : The full-length fiberglass layers allow the ski to be smooth and stable while remaining light and dynamic.
Shape :
- All Mountain Rocker : 15% tip rocker / 85% Traditional camber: tip rocker that smoothes out uneven terrain and makes it easier to enter turns.
Technology:
- HZRN 3D Backland the ABS construction combined with a revolutionary rocker increases the surface area of the tip and tail by 10%. It reduces tip deflection for better control on packed and choppy snow without changing turning inertia.
