The Slight 83 2019 is a men's all-mountain ski from Scott.
The Slight 83 is part of the "Multi-Segment" range, based on combining lightweight materials with progressive shapes and up-to-the-minute construction, to keep up with today's wide variation of ski genres. The Slight range, available in three different widths (100mm, 93 mm and 83 mm), are new skis adapted to the needs of modern skiers.
Designed to attack on groomed slopes, the new Slight 83 features the innovative lightweight sandwich construction of the Slight range, which is a combination of a composite wood core, unidirectional and triaxial carbon fibres and aramid fibres. This model stands out from the crowd for having the best manoeuvrability thanks to a waist width that is more suited to ski slopes. Its Rocker Pro-Tip 250 is also made for the piste, being shorter, it offers better precision on groomed snow.
The 3D Sidecut system means you can ski confidently on tolerant skis that can handle any situation and any type of snow.
Aimed at skiers who want a powerful, precision ski with much better versatility than purely on-piste skis.

Turn Radius :
- 14 m in length 158 cm
- 15 m in length 168 cm
- 16 m in length 178 cm
Construction:
SSCL Carbon 2/Aramid E: elliptical sandwich construction with sloping sidewalls in elliptic carbon/aramid: lightness, liveliness, excellent torsional stiffness
Core:
Wood: full-length wooden core, giving the ski a more even flex and creating a more fluid transition between the centre of the ski and the rocker geometry of the tip and the tail.
3D Sidecut:
The 3D sidecut is made from two radiuses and a straight edge line under the foot. The radiuses of the tip and the tail allow you to move into the turn, while the flat centre brings stability, power and precision. Designed in collaboration with athletes from the Freeski team, the 3D sidecuts give the ski a high adaptability, balance and power underfoot, responding to the demands of the best skiers in the world.
Rocker:
Rocker Pro-Tip 250: Piste / Carving specialized
- Increases stability in powder and deep snow
- Offers tolerance, which allows skiers to change the shape of their turns
- Improves ski agility and progressiveness
Pre-Track technology:
Offers an effective edge variation, depending on the terrain. Thanks to the exclusive geometry of the tip and tail, the effective edge is reduced for shorter radiuses on-piste, and lengthened for wide turns or freeriding.
Factory finishings:
Scott skis come directly from the factory and have an edge angle of 88°, resulting from a 3° side angle and a 1° base angle, for excellent performance. So you can get your skis on and hurtle down the slopes with no adjustment needed.
Maniable et accrocheur, le Slight 83 rempli complètement sa mission, celle d’offrir un vrai ski de piste parmi la gamme All-mountain qui a tendance à tirer sur le freeride. Ce Slight 83 en a sous le pied, tout en légèreté !
