Toray's high-performance Dermizax DT membrane combined with lightweight merino wool provides the excellent waterproofing and the breathability needed for intensive activities. This 2.5-layer construction is lightweight (172g) and windproof. On the inside, the patented Micro Bead membrane provides lasting protection against abrasion and ensures a pleasant feel on the skin by quickly wicking away moisture.
The elasticated hem and the chest pocket make this jacket functional. It can be stored in its own pocket, taking up very little space in a backpack, or it can be quickly attached to a harness with its integrated strap. The hood is auto-adjusting and soft merino wool inserts increase comfort on the chin and forehead.
This lightweight jacket is therefore ideal for high altitude treks that require lightness, minimum bulk and high protection.

Dermizax® DT |
Dermizax membrane is water and windproof. It was invented and marketed by the Japanese company TORAY. There are 3 qualities of membranes, all offering the same level of waterproofing (water column > 20,000 mm) but increasing levels of breathability. The Dermizax has a breathability of 10,000g/m²/24h. In addition, it is extremely comfortable thanks to its stretchy, non-porous membrane made of soft outer fabric that is durable and water-repellent (even after 20 washes). |
