| Thermo |
“Thermo” is the term generally used for all synthetic insulation. It provides excellent thermal insulation to help the body maintain its temperature and thus keeping energy loss to a minimum. We use synthetic insulation as an alternative to down, as it retains its properties even in wet conditions. While moisture is the weak point of down, synthetic insulation shows its strengths during sweat-inducing activities, when exposed to rain or in continuous wet conditions. Synthetic insulation offers a very good warmth/weight ratio and is easy to maintain. The number behind thermo refers to the weight of the insulation used in the product in g/m2. The suppliers for synthetic insulation are Primaloft and Ponneco. |
