Turn radius:
- 17.6m for the 176cm model
- 18.7m for the 181cm model
Weight: 4992g per pair with bindings for the 176cm model
Core:
World Cup Ash Woodcore: The high-quality solid ash wood core is an important technical feature. It extends along the entire length of the ski and has a considerable influence on its gliding abilities. Until now, this hard and particularly elastic wood has been used exclusively for racing skis used by World Cup athletes. The wood acts as an energy reservoir: when the ski bends at the start of the turn, the fibres lengthen, absorb the deformation energy and store it. When the ski exits the turn, this stored energy is then released in a controlled manner, which gives the ski extraordinary dynamics. The specific extensibility properties of ash allow the ski to adapt perfectly to the ground. The result is optimal stability and reliability with smooth gliding behaviour.
Rocker:
Tip & Tail Rocker: the skis turn more easily and allow for more rigid adjustments. This means you can choose longer skis if you wish.
Base:
P-Tex 4504 : High density base with a sintered finish. In addition to excellent wear resistance and perfect ski wax absorption, the P-Tex 4500 is extremely fast and only used for high-performance Völkl skis. The material has been improved with special additives to make it thermo and electro-conductive and proves itself with quality gliding and maximum speed in racing.
Technology:
- Carbon Tips: The new Tailored Carbon Tips are produced using an innovative manufacturing process that sews carbon fibres one by one onto a backing material. The fibres are then precisely positioned along the lines of force, thus opening up completely new possibilities, especially in the tip area. This has a definite influence on the gliding behaviour of the ski. Depending on the thickness of the fibres and their millimetre-precise alignment, it is possible to adjust the stiffness and torsion in a targeted manner. The fibres thus help to direct the dynamics to the areas of the ski where they are needed. These Tailored Carbon Tips are visibly integrated into the ski. They are lightweight and allow the tip to enter turns with more agility and less effort. In addition, they accumulate energy quickly. The custom-made carbon blades thus allow for an unprecedented level of precision, direct response from the blade and active sliding pleasure.
- 3D Glass: improves the overall performance and stability of the ski, even in difficult snow conditions. Compared to conventional fibreglass constructions, the three-dimensional, multi-ply fibreglass layers in the tip and tail provide better edge grip and sharper rebound in the turns.
- Full Titanal: The titanium is strategically inserted for a more aggressive ski.
- Full Sidewall: sidewalls along the entire length of the edges.
Xcomp16 Gw 2022 bindings: These benefit from all the high quality components and technologies found in the standard Xcomp models. This includes a magnesium reinforcement and the redesigned front toe piece with three-point mounting made in one piece with the AFD GripWalk sliding plate, making the Xcomp 16 GW binding compatible with GripWalk insoles. Shock absorbers provide precise but forgiving ski control and turn handling. The cushioning technology of the Xcomp binding has been perfected to eliminate any fast, hard impacts and keeps the shoe perfectly centred.
- Height of the binding: 18mm
DIN: 6.0-16.0
Weight of the bindings: 2400g
