Description

The BMT 109 is a freeride and ski touring ski from Völkl designed for advanced or expert skiers looking for versatility to tackle powder without sacrificing the ski's climbing ability.

Designed with a Multilayer Woodcore Light core made of poplar and beech, this ski provides excellent stability at high speeds and great grip on hard snow. Ultra-light thanks to its carbon design, it perfectly assumes the climbing phases and its full rocker associated with the 3D.Ridge Carbon technology offers a lot of versatility in all snow conditions.

With the innovative ICE.OFF technology applied to the top surface of the ski, the weight and the amount of snow that sticks to the ski are reduced considerably, so that you can feel comfortable both on the way up and on the way down. In addition, pre-cut,self-adhesive seal skins are also available.

ICE.OFF Topsheet:
This technological innovation applied to the top surface reduces the weight of the ski and the amount of snow that sticks by an average of 20 to 30%. The unique surface structure and material composition minimize the formation of ice so that the snow simply glides over the top surface. Lighter skis mean less fatigue, especially on long and steep climbs.

Le BMT 109 s'avère très joueur et vif, on pourrait presque faire de la godille serrée ! Bien qu'étant un pur ski de rando, il quand même possible d'aborder la piste sans pour autant pouvoir carver à en poser la main par terre. Son poids permet d'économiser pas mal d'énergie à la montée, ce qui est bien appréciable pour pouvoir se concenter sur sa descente sans trop de fatigue.

Les Plus : Légèreté, excellent rapport poids/stabilité, portance exceptionnelle et réactivité en couloir étroit.

Les Moins : Moins d'accroche sur neige dure.
