Notice to riders who want to send it in big powder as well as on the piste, Burton is back this season with a new binding, the X EST.
Everything in the X EST is a reminder of just how good this fixing is. The baseplate is made of a Carbon/ Nylon blend, and the 100% carbon spoiler provides unrivalled strength, lightness and rigidity. When it comes to tightening and securing the boots, Burton uses the double Take buckles, a system that has been tried and tested for generations, combined with the supergrip Capstrap 2.0 and the Asym Hammockstrap. All for quick and precise clamping.
The cushioning provided by the springBED is exemplary, "it feels like having a trampoline under your feet". With SpringBED, the foot is raised to create a suspension effect while increasing the cushioning. It will allow you to handle the biggest landings without fear.
Built with ESTtechnology, it will be closer to your board, to increase the control and ride feel during your descents. The only downside of this binding is that it will only be compatible with boards equipped with Burton's The Channel system .
The X EST will delight expert level riders who want to dominate committed descents.

With its latticed, streamlined design, this strap creates either a flexible hold or one that is securely fixed for a challenging run. Reduces pinch points. Reversible so you can choose between a firm hold and and a more flexible one. The Flex slider allows the reinforced heel strap to open as wide as it will go so you can get strapped in even faster. The Gettagrip Capstrap™ has been used instead of the traditional foam and gum; it's a lightweight EVA foam that perfectly moulds to the shape of the boot.
