- 100% recycled Polyester, DryVent™ 3L BioBase 75D x 160D 216g/m2
- PFC-free DWR water-repellent treatment with tear-proof ripstop
| DryVent™ 3L BioBase | This fabric uses a two-layer construction that retains its waterproof and breathable properties in extreme conditions, making it suitable for all types of expeditions. The tough outer fabric repels moisture and resists abrasion, while the polyurethane-coated inner layer has micropores that channel water vapour to the outside. The North Face has then added castor oil to its manufacturing process. The castor oil plant is a tropical shrub found mainly in India, Brazil and China. After cold pressing the seeds of this plant, a thick oil is obtained which is used mainly in cosmetics and is known for its therapeutic benefits. In addition to the DryVent membrane, this oil provides incredible softness to the fabric, to avoid irritation and itching. |
