With its evocative name, the Project X is the result of testing and experimentation by engineers at Jones. With the Project X you have the latest technology, the ultimate elixir of snowboarding by Jones.
Reshaped this season, we switched to a 10mm tapered directional camber. This one offers good lift in powder snow, strong grip on the piste and increased manoeuvrability. An all-mountain board awaits you with this exceptional snowboard. In terms of materials, the Project X features the Ultra construction, well known from Jones. Its FSC fusion core is amplified by the multiple layers of carbon fusion. This is the most dynamic board currently available.
With Project X you will be able to go for it in any situation without nasty surprises. Although it looks aggressive, the Project X has an accessible and versatile flex. Resembling the Carbon Flagship, Project X does not have that "crowbar" feel.
The glide of the Project X is quite simply exceptional with the unmatched Ultra Base and curved tip profile (Blunt Nose). The Project X evolves slowly, without ever missing a beat.

Camber:
Directionnal Rocker : Classic camber with rocker for greater float and grip in all snow conditions. Longer and more pronounced rocker on the front of the board to increase lift with a camber under the feet for grip and responsiveness. The shorter tail rocker not only provides the same power and stability than other boards, but prevents catch when turning.
Shape :
Directional : The nose is longer and wider than the tail and the inserts have been set back on the back of the board. These features provide more lift in powder.
Tapered Shape 10 mm: The cone-shaped Tail sinks into the powder for better flotation and faster turns.
Blunt Nose: The blunt nose provides the lift benefits of a longer nose without the rounded shape and extra weight.
Traction Tech 3.0 : The bumps on the edges offer multiple contact points along the board which improves grip. This technology counteracts the negative effect of the rocker which reduces the edge/snow contact length of your board.
Progressive Sidecut: At each end of the edges, the curve radius is increased at the contact points. This larger radius ensures a smoother ride when entering and exiting turns.
Technology :
- Fusion carbon: A lamination process that reduces the weight of the board and improves its durability by combining materials in two stages.
- Forever Flex: A manufacturing process (early lapping system) that stabilises the flex and rocker profile of a board for its entire life span.
- Fusion Core: The brand's lightest wood core. It is made primarily of paulownia with poplar inserts specifically positioned to improve the durability and responsiveness of the board.
- Koroyd®: Lightweight synthetic core material that absorbs vibration and adds responsiveness, improving board control and confidence.
- Ultra Construction: A construction method that makes the planks more durable and lighter.
- Ultra Base :Sole material offering better wax absorption and better gliding on wet snow.
- Float pack inserts: It allows you to change your stance of powder days.
- Eco-Plastic Topsheet: Topsheet made from castor beans. This environmentally friendly material is ultra-light, chip and scratch resistant and repels water and snow (snow sticks less to the topsheet).
- Recycled ABS: - The ABS plastics in Jones boards are made from recycled plastic.
- Wend Natural Wax: Waxed with natural Wend wax, Jones boards are ready to use straight from the factory.
- Bio Resin : all Jones boards are now built with bio-based, renewable epoxy instead of petroleum based epoxy.
Planche d'exception, la Project X fait rapidement faire le plein de sensation. Déjà en la déballant, on a les yeux qui brillent. Mais par la suite, tout se confirme lorsque la Project X se retrouve sur la neige. C'est la légèreté et l'agilité qui en découlent et qui fait donc de la Project X une planche si particulière.
Tranchante et puissante, la Project X nous renvoie au centuple tout ce qu'on lui transmet. Sur piste, rien ne lui résiste. En hors-piste, idem. Mis à part les cailloux qui sont les pires ennemies du carbone !
En park, la Project X, n'est pas donnée à tout le monde. Elle est autant exigeante que précise. Il vous faudra donc être à 100% car la Project X ne donne pas droit à l'erreur. Mais si vous savez la dompter, elle vous propulsera directement à un autre niveau.
