No subject to promotional offersThe Photon Step On® boots from Burton are a new generation of all-mountain snowboard boots. Taking inspiration from the older step-in bindings, Burton has once again made history in snowboarding evolution with this refined edition of the Step-On® system.
As its name suggests, the Photon Step On® is a variation of the Photon Boa®, these boots are truly top of the range when it comes to their performance and characteristics. Comfort, rigidity, support and reactivity... Burton has certainly given the Photon Step On® a solid base that you can trust.
The main difference between strapped and Step On® bindings is that it is the boot that dictates which binding/boot pack to get, and no longer the binding.
The Photon Step On® Wide has a stiff flex and extra tongue at the instep with the Boa® tightening system. It provides you with stiffness and responsiveness similar to - or even better than - Genesis EST® combined with Photon Boa®.
The Step On® system enables you to put your bindings on whilst standing, all you have to do is simply step into the connection points on the sides of the feet and behind the spoiler. No need to sit in the cold, wet, snow to put on your shoes - and no one will complain about having to wait for you at the ski lifts!
The major advantage of this new system is the responsiveness of the boot-to-board power transfer. Thanks to the connection points, especially at the spoiler, the boots are literally stuck down from the spoiler to the baseplate, shifts from edge to edge have never been so fast.

- The Step On® back reinforcement features a connection point on the heel for a strap-free connection that offers unparalleled comfort and performance.
Liner :
- The Focus cuff hugs the ankle to increase heel support, for slightly higher and more responsive riding.
- The thermoformable Imprint 3 liners have a hook-and-loop closure system with an inner lace lock for a snug fit and lightweight power panels for added response.
- The isothermal Sleeping Bag technology underfoot reflects heat back to the foot, improving warmth and comfort in cold conditions.
- The Snugger strap allows the rider to adjust heel support and front flex stiffness.
Lacing:
The BOA® Sequence adjustment system features 2 lace paths, for a fit that is evenly snug from the top to the bottom, all with a simple turn of the dial.
Comfort :
- The Total Comfort construction offers a feeling of familiarity from day one, eliminating the break-in period.
- Inner snow gusset that completely seals the lower boot area, keeping your feet warm and dry.
Sole:
- The Step On® outsole features cleats at the forefoot which securely lock into the binding.
- The Vibram traction outsole with EcoStep™ rubber offers an increased surface area for more contact points to grip the ground, all within a lighter weight and made from only 30% recycled rubber.
- The EST® optimised mid-sole lowers your sense of gravity and improves board feel without sacrificing on comfort.
- The Footbed Reduction Technology reduces the boots overall footprint which minimises toe drag.
