Description

The Supernova Carbon is a touring ski from the brand Majesty.

This is the largest ski in the range. With the Supernova Carbonthe wilderness with powder fields is waiting for you.

With a wide stance and a more generous rocker, it adapts very well in various conditions, in deep snow or in steep couloirs. However, its 1.3kg in 161cm per ski won't hold you back and the climb is quite easy considering the width of the ski.

In terms of construction, the Paulownia core is reinforced with a layer of triaxial glass fibres and a layer of carbon fibres. Its rather stiff flex combined with the directional shape and flat heel give stability at high speed and a very good behaviour when skiing more complicated changing snow.

The Supernova Carbon will be the ideal ski if you're chasing powder and don't want to compromise on the descent, although a light binding will allow it to be used for a series of climbs without worrying.

Technologies :
- Cot (cut-off tail) : By reducing the length of the heel and moving the skier's position backwards, Majesty has created faster and more versatile skis. The significant reduction in length and weight has been achieved without compromising the performance of the skis.

- Carbon Kevlar : Aramid (Kevlar) is a synthetic polymer that is woven into fabric. Used in ski construction, it provides strength and acts as a shock absorber. Combined with carbon for stiffness and torsion, this type of laminate offers outstanding stability, performance and weight reduction.

- Textolite Plates : Sheets of reinforcing material (epoxy-impregnated fibreglass fabric) layered above and below the core to support the central part of the ski.

- Skins Mounting : The heels of the skis are equipped with specially designed holes to allow for precise skin placement and reduce the possibility of the tail clip slipping off when climbing.

- Front Rocker : The rocker is the curve of a front or back part of the ski when viewed from the side. In other words, the rocker refers to the arched section of the ski that runs from the point of contact with the surface to the tip or rear end. Depending on the length and shape of the rocker, it can be called an automatic rocker, a flat camber rocker or an elliptical rocker. The rocker makes it easy to spin in the powder and gives a feeling of freedom and tolerance. It improves floatation and allows for effortless off-road driving.

- Camber : The camber describes the curve of a ski when viewed from the side. Skis with camber have a midsection that arches slightly over the snow. Depending on the length and height of the camber, it can be distinguished as a traditional camber or a flat camber (zero camber). The camber provides elasticity, flexibility, precision, responsiveness, good edge control and rippling.

- Fast Base: The bases are made of P-Tex (polyethylene plastic). Most basic materials are followed by a number. This number refers to the molecular weight of polyethylene. The higher the number, the higher the molecular weight of the P-Tex , which indicates that the base is better and more durable. Majesty uses a high quality IS 7200 base.

Team review
